My next favorite shot from the IIDA show....

IIDA show
Did some behind the scenes stuff at the IIDA Fashion Show last night at the BCEC (you know, the new convention center...). This is my current favorite shot:
Sloughed Off Snakeskin
A little brown snake left his skin in the yard.
show
Here's a look at some stuff I hung (with invaluable assistance from Paula) at Fidelity at the World Trade Center Boston. Not open to the public, so I thought I'd share some phone pics here.
Earlier this year...
I shot a job for a pharmaceutical company. Essentially, had to shoot 3 lifestyle-ish 'scenes' on white, silhouette the people out and place them into stock photos. The result was overlaid atop another stock photo of an arctic landscape using the company's logo as a glass-like 'window'. We did the shot of the arm holding the glass as well. Anyway, it was fairly complex; here are the results:

Worked a couple jobs in Newburyport this week and shot a few things during the in between times.
Despite Their Best Efforts....
...Monsanto hasn't been able to kill 'em all.
Last Day of Camp
Checked out Patriots Training Camp on the 18th - the last official day of camp. Had to find a spot in the stands and pretty much stay there, so all the pictures are from the same vantage point.
The Honeybees Return
I've been keeping an eye out for honeybees lately, what with corporate America's vendetta against them. Two showed up to get as much nectar as they could from our Rose of Sharon. It was good to see them.

A couple more
Apparently, the sparrows are living in a Rhododendron out front...
The Albino Sparrows
I never even knew this was possible. Hanging around today I saw a white bird. Looking again, I saw TWO white birds, hanging around with a pair of sparrows in the apple tree out back. My guess is that these guys were recently hatched and were being shown around by their parents.
self assignment
Wanted to create a dynamic looking, somewhat macro shot of this drill bit that I had just used for something around here. The 100mm macro lens didn't 'pull' enough, so I went to the 24 with a couple of extension tubes. The interesting part was silhouetting the thing, since everything but the point of it was fading out of focus, so the edges couldn't be sharp, the way a 'normal' silo is.
The deer out front
Last night around dusk, a few does came through the neighborhood...
Honeybees
I'm worried about the honeybees. I hope I see some of these guys this year.....
