My friend Luigi - who is from Italy - showed some of us how he makes his homemade bread. And by bread, I mean pizza, focaccia and such. I took a few pictures.
Yeast has just been added to the flour mixture
6-ish pounds of flour has been measured out...
Just a little salt
While the dough rises, it's time to prepare other things.
Garlic, rosemary, olive oil...
The risen dough is ready....
....and it gets folded into the flour on the table.
Into the mixing bowl
and through the kneading machine
It must now rest to rise again...
Meanwhile, out back......
Now ready, it can be cut....
